OPTIONAL PACE GROUP
Riding in a group led by a local volunteer is entirely optional. You can ride by yourself or with friends, but sometimes it's nice to have a built in group that is riding at your pace. Our pace groups are led by local riders who know the roads and will help folks stay together at your chosen speed.

PACE GROUP IS TOTALLY OPTIONAL! We have ride leaders at several speeds and distances who will help control the pace and support the group.

Saturday Gravel Ride Options

Gravel rides take you through the Francis Marion National Forest on dirt, sand, grass and gravel with a little pavement here and there. There are also a few potholes to add to the fun. The routes and turns are NOT marked so you'll need to make sure you have the Ride with GPS route downloaded into your computer or phone. The 24 mile route has no rest stop. The 40 mile route shares a rest stop with the road ride. SAG support is available but you may have to walk to the nearest road.

Sunday Ride Options (the day after Ride the Lowcountry)

You're welcome to join us on Sunday club rides.
- The road ride has two routes, 27 miles and 44 miles from Mount Pleasant. These go over our beautiful bridge into downtown and out to the sea islands. (no charge)
- You can also join the Dirt Church gravel rides in Awendaw. (no charge)
- New for 2026, you can join a licensed tour guide for a more leisurely ride downtown with stops at historical spots for stories, questions and pictures. There will be a choice of times for this ride. Each group is limited to 20 people.

Downtown History Ride with Licensed Guide

Starting at Magnolia Cemetery close to downtown, this will be a leisurely ride with several stops to soak up the history of Charleston and give you chance to take pictures and ask questions.

Saturday After Ride Menu

Last year's menu of grilled chicken, boiled lowcountry shrimp, mac & cheese, red rice (some with no meat), coleslaw, (without mayonnaise), tomato and feta (no meat),and banana pudding was a huge hit; expect a similar menu again this year allowing for seasonal variations since our caterer sources the freshest local ingredients. Plus, iced tea , water and various soft drinks.

I will eat the vegetarian meal.

It helps to know how many are vegetarian to insure we have enough food without meat.
